Breathing Room Yoga

Breathing Room Yoga is committed to helping our local community.

Seva is the spiritual practice of selfless service. It is rooted in the traditions of bhakti and karma yoga.

In Vietnam, where poverty is everywhere, cultivating seva is an essential and rewarding part of our yoga practice.

Breathing Room Yoga supports Operation Smile, having raised funds for four childrens cleft-palate operations to date.

We also support other local Saigon charities by holding karma workshops.

GLOBAL MALA FUNDRAISER - SEP. 21

UPDATE

The Global Mala fundraiser was a great success, with nearly 50 yogis and yoginis in HCMC coming together at Dancenter to raise $1,200 USD for Thien Nhan! Thanks to everyone who attended or contributed, and special thanks to Elke and Thien, Patricia, Michelle, Saigon Yoga, Pierre, La Reunion des Marmites; and Dancenter for hosting the event.

On Sunday 21 September, the United Nations Peace Day, yoga communities around the globe are coming together to celebrate yoga, to raise awareness, and to raise money for local charities as part of the Global Mala Project.

This year, as part of the Global Mala Project, we are offering yogis in Ho Chi Minh City a very special 108-minute, heart-opening yoga class, suitable for all levels, to help raise funds for a very worthy cause.

Entry is by donation, with all proceeds going to help Thien Nhan, a little boy who was abandoned at birth and mauled by wild dogs, losing his entire leg and genitals. This event will raise money to assist him with his ongoing prosthetic care and reconstructive surgeries. Please join us for HCMC's largest-ever charity yoga event, and experience yoga as peace in action. For more info about Thien Nhan, click here.

Special thanks to Linh and Tessa, who have generously volunteered to host the event at Dancenter studio.

Please RSVP so we know how many people to expect. Looking forward to seeing you all there!
