CLASSES

Prana Flow

Prana Flow yoga is an evolutionary approach to vinyasa yoga created by Shiva Rea. Classes include dynamic namaskars; creative flowing sequences; pranayam; mudra; mantra; and meditation. A challenging, transformative style of yoga, Prana Flow can be easily modified for beginners yet remains challenging for experienced practitioners. Following a seated meditation, you will be guided into a deep and blissful relaxation at the end of class. Experience the intuitive wisdom of your body moving through it's connection to Prana - life force energy.

Yin Yoga

In Yin yoga, we practice passive postures on the floor, holding them for up to 5 minutes at a time. This deeply restorative style of yoga nourishes the connective tissues of the hips, spine, and shoulders and also improves joint mobility. Regular practice of Yin yoga leads to a greater ease of movement and a deeper sense of release; both physical and emotional.

Ashtanga

Based on the traditional style from Mysore, Ashtanga yoga focuses on synchronizing the breath with a set sequence of postures—a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.

This class introduces the Ashtanga Primary Series. Emphasis is also placed on three key elements of Ashtanga: Ujjayi (breathing technique), Bandhas (energy locks in the body), and Drishti (focus points).

Prenatal Yoga

Pregnancy is a time to celebrate the miraculous changes your body is undergoing and to honor the potential of the life growing inside you. A gentle yoga practice will keep you physically healthy and mentally grounded. Prenatal yoga focuses on gentle stretches that will prevent or minimize some of the more difficult aspects of pregnancy. This class emphasizes the importance of meditation and pranayama.
